To facilitate the renovation of the 1920's Texaco station in to a Visitor's Resource Center and Interpretive Center we applied for .08 monies which is sales tax money returned to rural communities for economic development purposes. In Whitman County this money is distributed through a competitive grant. Rosalia applied for this money, but was initially denied. We appealed this decision and ultimately received $45,000.00.
